Meet the Days
Kim is one of only five Board Certified Occupational Therapists in Pediatrics in the state of Kentucky (as of March 2023). Kim also has a specialty training in Autism through completion of the Interdisciplinary Autism Certificate Program at EKU. She has earned CIMI-2 (Certified Infant Massage Instructor) certification and DPAM's (Deep Physical Agent Modalities) certification. She has completed classes about MNRI (Masgutova Method for Neurosensorimotor Reflex Integration) and enjoys incorporating body work/reflex work into her OT sessions. She has also attended courses about P.L.A.Y. Project (Play and Language for Autistic Youngsters), Rock Tape, the Alert Program, Learning Without Tears, Therapeutic Listening, Lifestyle Redesign (USC), mental health, mindfulness, sensory integration, early childhood, pelvic floor exercises, and acquired brain injuries. Prior to being an OT, she was the Director of the Summer Kids’ Discovery club for Good Works, Inc. nonprofit, a substitute teacher, an after school program assistant, and an activities assistant at Lancaster Christian Care Center. She has a passion for planning social skills programs and working with families/teams. She has over 10 years of experience as an OT working with various ages and populations.
Matthew, our Business Manager, loves playing cars with his son, organizing, cleaning, and home projects. He graduated from Indiana University Kelly School of Business with a B.S. in Business and the Indiana University Maurer School Law with his Doctorate of Jurisprudence. He spends most of his time trying to keep Kim in order - balancing her creativity with his practical and meticulous planning and also taking care of the Days’ home and rental properties. He spent over 10 years working for the Madison County Attorney’s Office and has experience working in private practice law. He handles the practical side of Sunny Day Wellness—billing and finances. He also coordinates Honey Can Do consulting projects and mentoring/tutoring endeavors.
Both Kim and Matt are passionate about learning and helping others be successful in achieving their goals. As valedictorians and prestigious scholarship winners (William T. Young and Eli Lilly Scholars), they are qualified and prepared to design creative programs committed to educational excellence.
